The mud cloth is made from handwoven strips of cotton imported from Mali in Africa. Made one at a time from a process originated by village women centuries ago, it is a labor-intensive technique that uses tannin and clay to shape it and tell stories and history with symbols.

Excellent quality - very well made. I was so pleased that it actually matched the picture! It was that beautiful teal/turquoise blue instead of the usual Indigo blue. And, the shipping was super fast. If I need more pillows I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this shop again.
