Here is a black and white lumbar pillow with authentic mud cloth at center and white mud cloth on the sides and edged with black piping. This basic array of colors will make it quite versatile in your room. The back is made of white linen or heavy-weight cotton and it is closed with an invisible zipper.
In an array of throw pillows, the lumbar pillow is usually the first one seen due to its size. This one will deserve that top spot.
The mud cloth is made from handwoven strips of cotton imported from Mali in Africa. Made one at a time from a process originated by village women centuries ago, it is a labor-intensive technique which uses tannin and clay to shape it and tell stories and history with symbols.
